BOOKWORM // THE AGE OF MIRACLES

Since I quit watching television, I've had a lot more time for the things that I truly love. One of those things is reading. I was in Butler's library to print one of my papers and log a few solid study hours when I noticed a book on a nearby shelf. It was The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker.

It's a sort of sci-fi concept tucked into a very ordinary coming-of-age story. It's about a young girl growing up in a world where the days continually get longer (literally). I can't say that I was enamored by it, although it did put the concept of time in perspective for me. A good read, but one that I'll soon forget I think.
